At the beginning of the season, we didn’t even think we would have enough girls to have a full HKU Sandy Bay U14G team. We were in talks to another club to have a combined team. Luckily, we had several new players join us in September and October and we now had enough for a full Sandy Bay U14G team.

Even though this team consists of many players that never played before or only played a little rugby in school, they managed to finish 2nd in the League and reach the Grand Final.

Even if they didn’t win the final, they should still be very proud of what they have achieved and they are a prime example of what you can do as a team if you work hard to support each other. They kept their heads high and kept pushing their opponent until the end of the match.

I could not have been prouder and on behalf of Sandy Bay I would like to thank you for the way you represented the club during the whole tournament.
